Highreach welcome Hillington Park team for a tour of our new training centre

We were delighted to welcome the team at Hillington Park to the Highreach Training Centre earlier this month.

Derek Aitken, Senior Asset Manager at Hillington Park, met with Highreach Director, Tony Warren (pictured below), for a tour of our new purpose-built training centre. We sat down to have a chat about the business and our plans for future growth, and Derek was even able to see a PASMA Instructor CPD event in progress on his visit.

Following the visit, the team at Hillington Park kindly wrote a short piece about Highreach for their website and newsletter, which you can read further below.

Specialist training company aims to hit the heights

A new, accredited industrial training provider has joined the vibrant construction and facilities management sector at Hillington Park and moved into a 3,500 sqft unit at the popular Northpoint development on Edison Street.

Highreach Training Services is a specialist provider of mobile access towers and working at height training courses including forklift and telehandler training, mobile scaffold training and MEWP training (boom and scissor). It also provides bespoke training for operators of scissor lifts and static boom lifts.

Formed in October 2023, the company already employs two full-time and two part-time members of staff and around 10 experienced external trainers delivering its IPAF, PASMA and NPORS accredited courses to clients across the UK.

From its unit at Northpoint, the business offers around 50 different classroom-based courses and practical training sessions as well as e-learning modules for some of its core products.

Tony Warren from Highreach Training Services said: “Our primary objective is to deliver training of the highest quality to our clients, guaranteeing safety and efficiency in the workplace.  In less than a year we’ve achieved a lot including our PASMA, IPAF and ALLMI accreditations, have secured CITB Grants and funding, and are working with clients across the UK.

“We want to operate a one stop shop for all training requirements and, once established, open up 3-4 new training centres across the UK so opening our state-of-the-art learning environment at Hillington Park is an important milestone in that plan.  It is a great location with a great travel infrastructure and is well known in the Glasgow area as being the main industrial site.”

Derek Aitken, Senior Asset Manager at Hillington Park, said: “Highreach Training Services has impressive ambitions to grow its business and decided that Hillington Park, with its established construction sector community and its central location, was the perfect place to start that journey.  In a short time they’ve built a business that already has clients across the UK and are delivering industry accredited courses from its new premises here on Hillington Park.  We wish them every success.”

Ryden and Colliers acted for Hillington Park.
